The Hyundai Palisade has been popular with families who want a stylish, spacious, and feature-packed SUV. The 2023 Palisade has received a facelift and some new features, but most of the technology remains unchanged. On our first drive to the Palisade, we found that it still provided a comfortable and dynamic driving experience, and even had some off-road capability.

What are the new features in the 2023 Hyundai Palisade?

The 2023 Palisade gets a facelift, which includes a new armored grille and boomerang-shaped LED headlights. The interior has also been updated, with a new 10.25-inch infotainment system, an available 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, and a standard 10.25-inch digital rearview mirror. The Palisade now also comes standard with a rear-seat reminder system, which alerts the driver if a child or pet is left in the backseat.

Is the Palisade still available in front or all-wheel drive?

 Yes, the Palisade is still available in both front-end and all-wheel drive. We tested the all-wheel-drive Calligraphy in our first car and found it to be a confident and comfortable ride.

How does the Palisade perform on the road?

The Palisade is powered by a 3.8-liter V6 engine that produces 291 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque adequate for a car of its size, and we recorded a 6.4-second sprint to 60 mph.The steering is precise and the ride is smooth, although it can feel a bit firm on bumpy roads so there. The brakes are also impressive, stopping at 161 feet from 70 mph.

Does the Palisade have any off-road capabilities?

 Yes, the Palisade has some off-road capability, though it can’t perform like the Kia Telluride X-Pro. During testing, we found that the Palisade could handle some easy trails, but it is designed primarily for off-road use.

 What about the contents of the Palisade? 

The Palisade is spacious and well appointed, with comfy chairs and a cozy cabin. The new 10.25-inch infotainment system is easy to use and offers access to a wide range of features, including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The available 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster is also impressive, providing a clear and customizable view of vital driving information.
